Easy Steps On How To Build A Website Using Dreamweaver

Some people may have the idea that building a website is a painstaking task for novices especially upon hearing technical names like Dreamweaver. However, what they don’t realize is that there are steps you can follow that even beginners in the web designing field can learn immediately. Learning how to build a website using Dreamweaver is not difficult if you have easy to remember steps you can follow.

Dreamweaver is a very handy tool for both novices and web professionals. It supports various web technologies and other server-side scripting languages. You can use it as a stand-alone software program or use it along with other web designing tools.

To get you started on how to build a website using Dreamweaver, here’s what you should do:

Step 1 ‘“ Install the Dreamweaver program on your computer. Once the program is properly installed, open the program to start using. Begin by clicking on file and then select new from the drop-down menu. A pop-up window will be seen that would ask you what type of website you want to create. Click on “Basic Page” then click on “Create.” This will now be your opening page.

Step 2 ‘“ You may save this file by clicking on File and selecting “Save As” from the drop-down menu. Create a folder with the name “index.htm” which will then contain all the files to be uploaded on this page. Save your opening page using the filename “index.htm” in the same folder.

Step 3 ‘“ Now you may begin building your website. You may start by typing the title at the upper middle side of the page. Highlight the title and choose the color, font and size that you want to use.

Step 4 ‘“ Fill your website with whatever you want to appear on your site. Your contents should be pleasing to look at and should be fun, informative and relevant to your target viewers. Again, you may change the style of your text by clicking on Window and then Properties.

Step 5 ‘“ You can make use of the toolbar to make alterations to the visual effects of your website. You may add background color that is complimentary to your text as well as create links to other websites. Then, repeat the same process with other alterations and additions you would like to perform on your site.

Step 6 ‘“ Add some pictures to liven up the image of your website. Save these image files on the same folder where you saved the webpage, “index.htm.”

Step 7 ‘“ To make your website searchable through the search engines, you must create metatags. To do this, first click on “insert” and then select “head.” When you see “description,” click on it and type a description of your site. Use the same procedure to start adding keywords or key phrases. Make sure you add comma and single space after each keyword to separate them from each other.

As you can see, the process on how to build a website using Dreamweaver is really not that difficult. Just make sure to save your file after performing each step and your website will be all set and ready to be uploaded on the internet.

There are many, many Web 2.0 sites to choose from such as Squidoo, HubPages and Google Knols. These social sites are fantastic places to put content around about your chosen niche and encourage readers to examine and possibly buy the product or service you are offering.

By getting your content out there and, most importantly, your links on these sites your blog stands to get more naturally generated and targeted traffic. People will read your articles and other content that you put up and head off to your blog looking for more information about your product or to find the link to purchase the product or service that they are looking for.

It’s really easy to get content onto these social sites and you will find instructions on each site to help you set up your account and place your first pieces of content. The most important thing to remember is to come back on a very regular basis, each day preferably and add more content to the article sites, the Web 2.0 sites and to your blog. Write your articles well and often, post them on popular sites and you will soon see the traffic coming to your site.

When you are trying to generate traffic using content on Web 2.0 sites, the best part of it is that you don’t really need previous career related experience and that you can learn the ropes as you go. That being said, there are some skills that you will need to teach yourself or pick up along the way to make your content writing successful.

Once you have got content out on article directories, you will find that other people can take your content and put it on their site. When you make the decision to get a flat weight bench, always inspect the parts completely. Even with the minimal amount of assembly, you still have the right (and responsibility) to keep your safety in mind. Every home, with the proper organization can make space for a small office area. This room is able to hold important documents, which is vital to work or home details. Simple home office organization methods are able to turn what seems to be complicated filing in to an efficient task.

A filing cabinet is a very handy office fixture. This is able to hold many documents and keep them in order. However, not everybody has the luxury of owning one. A good substitute to this would be filing envelopes and boxes. When you have very limited space in your office, the most efficient solution is paper filing. You can have an envelope or folder for each family member. With this, you can place all documents related to them such as birth certificates, medical and dental records, etc. You can then place these files in a separate box and label them accordingly. This is quite an effective method as most documents come in hard copies. Without a proper filing system, you will be sure to have a hard time locating specific documents when the need for it arises.

Home office organization can be quite tedious at first then efficient in the long run. This will enable you to keep track of mortgage payments, bills due and paid for specific months, tax forms and other data. No internet access for VM machines (Windows 7 + VM6)

Hi Friends,

I am facing the problem with internet access in VM machines.

Case:-

I was using VM workstation 6 hosted on windows XP and i have two VMBOX of Windows 2003 servers in it. I was able to access internet on both VBOX @ XP hosting with following configuration:

1.) Physical Lan card:- IP:124.125.22.XX (DHCP) SUB: 255.255.255.0 GATEWAY: 124.125.22.1

2.) VM NAT1: IP: 10.10.11.1 SUB: 255.255.255.0 GATEWAY: 10.10.11.2 (DHCP HOST)

3) VM NAT8 IP: 10.10.10.1 SUB: 255.255.255.0 GATEWAY: 10.10.10.2 (DHCP HOST + NAT)

Problem:-

Now i installed the Microsoft Windows 7 in my computer and also installed the VM workstation 6. In VM machines hosted VM6 are not able to access internet. I am able to resolve the DNS of public websites and also able to ping them. But not able to browse them over IE

Troubleshooting:-

1.) Created the new vm mchines but no effect.

2.) updated the VM ware tools

3.) bridge the LAN card to VM CARD, No solution.

Problem that i detected:-

In Windows 7 my both VM nat cards connection is placed under the Public network (Unidentified Network) and also not able to resolve this problem.

What is a tracking cookie?

Computer users may run into the term tracking cookie frequently if they are using a security software like Norton 360 or Kaspersky
Internet Security. These programs detect those web browser cookies, and offer to delete them from the system.

The detection of third party cookies by security software does not mean that they pose the same danger as a computer virus, trojan or worm to the user. Tracking cookies are placed on the computer by online advertising companies. These companies track the user’s movement on the Internet for statistical and relevancy reasons.

One of the main purposes of cookies in general is to save temporary data, for instance language preferences or login information. Tracking cookies on the other hand are only created to track a users movement. The movement can still only be tracked if the user visits a website that displays the advertisement scripts of the company that has a cookie stored on the system.

Tracking cookies raise privacy issues, as they allow companies to partially track an Internet user’s movement on the Internet. The detected cookies can be deleted easily in the security software. Some web browsers, like Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, offer settings to handle third party cookies. The term third party cookies might confuse some users, but it is actually fairly easy to understand. A first party cookie is placed by the website itself, it would for instance be a first party cookie if Ghacks would place a cookie on your system. A third party cookie is placed by scripts from other services, mostly advertisements that are loaded on the page.
Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer users can clear all cookies in the web browser by clicking on Tools > Internet Options, and then the Delete button in the General tab. This opens the Delete Browsing History menu. Cookies is one of the items available in that menu. Keep in mind that this will delete all cookies, it may mean that certain site preferences are reset to their default values. It may also mean that a login prompt is displayed on some sites on the next connection.

Cookies will be written again on the next connection. The third party cookie behavior can be configured in the Privacy tab of the Internet Options. The default setting is medium, which blocks some third party cookies but not all of them. Moving that slider to medium high, high or “block all cookies” will reduce or eliminate cookies in the web browser. A better approach, that blocks third party cookies completely, is to click on the Advanced button to open the Advanced Privacy Settings in Internet Explorer.

Activate “Override automatic cookie handling” and change the third party cookie selection to Block. This blocks all third party cookies in Internet Explorer without affecting third party cookies at all.
Opera

Opera users can delete cookies by clicking on the Menu button at the top left of the web browser, and then Settings > Delete Private Data.

A click on the Manage Cookies button after enabling detailed options in this menu lists all cookies with the option to delete them selectively instead.

Opera offers options to change the default cookie behavior and block tracking cookies. Press Ctrl-F12 to open the Opera Preferences. Switch to the Advanced tab and select cookies from the left sidebar menu.

Change Accept cookies to Accept cookies only from the site I visit to disable third party cookies in Opera.

Google Chrome

A click on the wrench and the selection of Options opens the Google Chrome Options window. The Under the Bonnet tab contains options to clear the browsing data and set the default cookie behavior.

A click on Clear browsing data opens a new window with the option to delete stored cookies, among other data.

General cookie behavior can be set in the Content settings menu. Cookies is one of the options in that menu. Locate the checkbox “Block all third-party cookies without exception” to block all tracking cookies from being set on the computer.

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-Del opens the Clear Recent History menu in Firefox. Here it is possible to clear the cookies immediately.

The Firefox options, located under Tools > Options offer controls to block third party cookies in the web browser. Locate the Privacy tab, and there the entry Accept third-party cookies. Remove the checkmark next to the preference to block tracking cookies and other third party cookies in the Firefox web browser.

Make A Bee Line For Sweet Treatments

Here’s the scoop on honey: it was used in ancient Egypt for embalming and for dressing cuts and burns; the Greek physician Hippocrates used it to treat skin disorders; Roman soldiers cleaned wounds with it – doctors did the same during WWI.(1)

Honey – the thick substance made by bees from the nectar of flowers – is not just for sweetening your morning tea. No, honey has long-established, traditional healing powers that modern science confirms. However, it is important to note that honey used medicinally is “raw”; it has not been heated, pasteurized and filtered like commercial honey, which is packaged to look clean and clear on the grocery shelf.

Natural Healing

* Using honey to treat wounds is actually a very ancient practice. When scientists conducted 22 trials involving 2,062 patients with honey as a wound dressing, the benefits were as follows:
* The antibacterial quality of honey cleared up infection and protected the wound from further infection
* The wound was de-brided and cleared of odor
* The anti-inflammatory effect of honey reduced both edema and scarring
* Honey stimulated growth of granulation and epithelial tissues to speed healing(2)

Honey functions as a natural anti-microbial by coating a wound and cutting off the supply of water and nitrogen. This effectively limits the growth of bacteria and forms a natural hydrogen peroxide – which promotes healing and reduces scarring.(3)

Medicine Status

Numerous studies confirm the effectiveness of honey as a medicinal substance. Researchers in New Zealand found that “honey killed 100 different strains of antibiotic-resistant viruses”.(4) In a study of burn patients in India, 52 patients were treated with honey while 52 others were treated with silver sufadiazine, a standard burn-treatment compound. 87% of those treated with honey had improved within 15 days compared to only 10% treated with the silver sufadiazine. In Australia, medicinal honey (unpasteurized) is available in pharmacies as a wound dressing, as it has had the status of medicine there since 1999.(5)

Noting that honey has been used in folk remedies by cultures all over the world, Ian Paul, a pediatrician at Pennsylvania State University Children’s Hospital, thought it was worth testing. Paul and his colleagues designed a study around 105 kids who were sick with coughs and colds. The kids were divided into three groups. At bedtime, one group of kids took a honey-flavored syrup containing dextromethorphan (DM). A second group were given buckwheat honey syrup. The third group received no treatment. Results showed that the kids who swallowed two teaspoons of buckwheat honey coughed less and slept better than the others. (Their parents slept better, too.)(6)

Dressings Made of Honey

Leave it to modern technology to come up with a bandage impregnated with– you guessed it – honey. Comvita, a natural health products company in New Zealand, produces hi-tech dressings developed by biochemist Peter Molan for commercial use. They are designed to take the mess out of honey. “It’s like a sheet of rubber”, says Molan, “you can touch it without being sticky at all.”(7)

The bandages are used for all types of wounds from burns to staph-infections to cancerous lesions. Most patients are happy with the honey dressings as they find them not only a very pleasant natural alternative, but a most effective treatment.(8)

So why not take a page from history and reach for the honey jar the next time you need to soothe an irritated throat or a minor skin irritation.* But please be aware that honey should never be given to children aged one year and younger. Infants have an immature digestive tract susceptible to botulism spores that may be present in honey. After the age of one year, children will have developed the immunity to handle any toxins present in honey.

As for your own health routine, always consult your personal health care provider before making any changes in diet, exercise or nutritional supplementation.

I Love Touring Italy – Springtime In Abruzzi

The small region of Abruzzi of central Italy lies on the Adriatic Sea. It’s quite traditional and is a fine place to see the “real” Italy. In this region early spring is likely to be fairly chilly, and late spring can resemble summer. March 19 is the Festa di San Giuseppe’s (Saint Joseph’s Day), which is celebrated in many parts of Italy including Abruzzi. The village of Rocca Pia, home to about 200 people, holds a religious ceremony complete with a traditional meal of beans and pork rind. In the small town of Fara San Martino, population 1600, the focus is on a huge bonfire. The little village of Civitella Alfedena, population some 300, lies in the heart of the beautiful Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise that covers three regions and englobes some two dozen municipalities. On March 26 it holds an Exhibition of arts and popular traditions.

On the first Thursday in May the village of Cocullo, home to about 300, hosts a Snake Handlers’ Procession in which a statue of St. Dominic, the town’s patron, covered with live serpents is carried through the town. Thousands of people follow this solemn procession through the village, accompanied by a band. Some people have come for the snakes and others for the fireworks and subsequent banquet. There is even a breakfast at the foot of the hill.

The city of Pratola Peligna, population some 8 thousand, hosts The Festival of the Madonna della Libera in early May. This festival involves literally thousands of people, especially on the weekends. The streets are specially lit and brass bands play all day. Food specialties include hot porchetta and warm roasted peanuts. Major highlights include the welcoming of pilgrims who walk 42 km from the small town of Gioia de Marsi and the procession of La Madonna’s statue from the church through the town’s historic streets. On Saturday night there is a quite spectacular fireworks display.

The last Sunday in May the small town of Rocca di Mezzo, population 1500, holds a daffodil festival attracting thousands of people who have come to greet the spring. Saturday night the wagons are festooned with thousands of daffodils. Sunday afternoon they parade through the town. Unlike many other Abruzzi festivals this one is not rooted in time immemorial. It was started in 1947 by soldiers returning from World War.

The medieval town of Loreto Aprutino, population about 7,500, hosts the Festa di San Zopito to honor their patron saint on the Monday after Pentecost, for example on May 24, 2010. Please note, because the Easter calendar is complicated, this festival may be in summer, for example on June 12, 2011. According to tradition, in 1711 the remains of the Christian martyr Zopito were in transport from the catacombs of San Callisto in Rome. A farmer tending his fields failed to stop working and pay his respects to the passing procession. But his white ox genuflected in front of the statue of the saint and the urn. The villagers were really impressed and since then every year a white ox is trained to kneel and gets 40 days off from working in the fields. A young child dressed as an angel, holding a red carnation in his mouth and sporting a lace umbrella, sits atop the adorned ox as it wends its way through the medieval streets stopping and genuflecting at every church.
